A useful record takes seconds to start and keeps paying off over time. CastMate connects each outing to the place and conditions around it.
Save species, size, notes, photos and location in your own journal.
Return to saved waters and see your catches on a map.
Put weather beside your catch history to help decide when to head out.
Start a trip, follow its duration and keep the day’s catches together.
In a shared session, invited anglers can see participants and catches on one live map.
Insights and forecasts are grounded in the catches you have recorded, and need enough history to be useful.
Catches, saved places and photos are stored on your device. Optional backup puts a copy in your own Google Drive. Shared sessions and services such as weather involve limited data leaving the phone.
Read the privacy policyYour journal is not a public profile or social feed. In a shared session, other participants can see your position and session catches; ghost mode can hide your position. The privacy policy explains every external service and data flow.
CastMate is built around the angler’s routine: catch the moment, finish the session, then look back with context.
CastMate is available to selected Android testers through Google Play closed testing. There is no public Google Play download yet. Contact us to ask about testing access.

Join iPhone beta on TestFlightCastMate keeps the journal on your device. The app creates an anonymous Firebase identity for shared sessions. A Google sign-in is used only if you choose Drive backup.
If you enable backup, CastMate writes its backup to an app folder in your own Google Drive. You control that Google account. See the privacy policy for details.
No. In a shared session, participants see the catches you log during that session, along with the information described in the privacy policy. Your full private journal is not a shared feed.
No forecast can promise a catch. CastMate compares conditions with your own logged history; it needs enough catches before it can offer a useful comparison.
Use the deletion action in the app, or follow the steps on the data deletion page if the app is no longer installed.
